I need to go eat lunch, so this will be the last photo in this latest updating spree. If pattern follows, it will be another year before I update this site :-) This is Miss Kitty in her mama's lap, one of her favorite places to be. Isn't she adorable? Posted by Picasa

This was four years ago. I can't believe it's been that long since I graduated; on the other hand, college seems so far away now. By the way, that strange man hugging me is Boyd Jones, the most amaziing person you'll ever meet. Posted by Picasa

For Halloween, Worf is going to be a character from Dune. This is his new favorite spot to sleep, making whoever is in the chair not be able to move their legs at all without disturbing him. Posted by Picasa

Worf and Miss Kitty absolutely adore my clothes. Which is why you see me walking around in clothes that are covered in cat hair. Posted by Picasa

It's an evil hand! Not really, it's just an annoying one. I had surgery on it back in May, and I had to wear this thing for a few weeks. It is the most irritating thing in the world to not be able to use your hand -- I couldn't crochet, play video games, cook, type, or do any number of things I usually do. I got so sick of watching TV it wasn't funny. Posted by Picasa

Me with Mike and Ayanna at Winthrop during her graduation weekend. I'll be visiting them again in March for their wedding, where I will get to wear a dress and be a matron of honor in their wedding. Matron sounds so old. Posted by Picasa

My brother, in one of the few pictures where he's actually smiling. He wore that cap the whole time he was up here visiting because he thought it was too cold. Florida wuss. :-) Posted by Picasa

Shane in his beard phase, with his dad, who is always in a beard phase :-) Posted by Picasa

The Montgomery Gentry concert we went to at Daytona Speedway during Bike Week this year. My dad got us in, and it was hoot seeing such a great performance surrounded by bikers sitting on their Harleys. I love this duo. Posted by Picasa

I think maybe all but one of us is drunk in this picture. But it's a bachelorette party -- it's allowed. For America!! Posted by Picasa

Me with Christy on her wedding day. Her husband is back in the U.S. as of yesterday after a very long stint in Iraq!!! As soon as they debrief them in Mississippi, she'll get to meet up with him and actually start their real married life together. Posted by Picasa

Pa, before he throws his catch back. It quickly became a contest to see who could catch the most fish. Personally, I think they kept catching the same couple of dumb fish over and over again. Maybe it's like a dare, or Russian roulette, for the fish -- hey, Billy, grab that hook over there and see if they throw you back. Posted by Picasa

Dad, before he throws his catch back. Posted by Picasa

It's not in the best focus, but I love this picture. That's me fishing in the foreground, my grandfather fishing in the middle, and my dad fishing in the background. They caught a bunch of real fish, I caught a couple of tree fish. Posted by Picasa

Memorial Day weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend somewhere in Georgia with parents, who travel a lot with their new motorhome now. This is my dad, who is probably unaware that this photo exists. Posted by Picasa

The weekend before Nicole and Donna visited us, we went up to D.C. to surprise Donna for her birthday. Nicole was just as tickled over the card I gave Donna as I was -- It said something to the effect, "We'll still be old friends when we're senile," on the front. Inside, it says, "Then we'll be new friends." I attracted stares in the store when I read that one. Posted by Picasa

Donna leans in as I look at the knitting patterns they got me for my birthday. I would publish the one of Nicole on the couch with us, but I abhor myself in that picture. At least in this one, my face is partially covered. Posted by Picasa

Shane, Nicole and Donna act natural as I aim my camera at them. I took this shot to show off my dining room, which is slowly coming together. We got that carpet at Garden Ridge during their all-night sale, and I absolutely adore it. So do the cats. Posted by Picasa

Donna and Nicole's visit

Donna (front) and Nicole force down the food I tried out on them during their visit to Greensboro, which I am trying to convince them to move to. Posted by Picasa

Miss Kitty and Hunting Pooh

This is Miss Kitty with the Hunting Pooh I won at the N.C. State Fair. There were a bunch of prizes available for winning Whack-A-Mole (at which I rule), but somehow this one seemed the most appropriate for the day.

Shane took me to the fair for my birthday Saturday, and we got to see Trace Adkins that night. After the concert, we made our way to the big ferris wheel, where we managed to get stopped at the very top of it during the finale of the fireworks show over the lake. Beautiful image in my memory now. Posted by Picasa

My husband watching TV with the baby.

My husband with my best friend's baby. He's a natural :-)

My best friend's baby at my parents' house on a recent trip.

Me with my best friend's baby, Willow. She is adorable! She's at the stage where she's mimicking right now ... Smile and she smiles, open your mouth in surprise and she follows suit. I even got her to stick out her tongue a couple of times :-)

Me at the park in Ponce Inlet after driving down to see the lighthouse.

The lighthouse at Ponce Inlet in Florida.

On a recent vacation, we saw how much the beach has shrunk in Daytona with all the erosion from the hurricanes. No driving during high tide any more.

New photo site

I have a lot of photos from my cousin's wedding yesterday, so I just started a new blog for her. Check it out here.

One of Shane's best friends with his very cool wife.

One of Shane's best friends and one of my best friends. We thought they looked like brother and sister when they smiled :-)

Two very cool college friends. I'm not putting names on most of these posts if I can help it. I'm paranoid about the internet, I know, but most people who will see this know who they are :-)
